We are a reflection of our environment. Our inner world oftentimes seems to bleed into our outer world, showing us parts of ourselves we wouldn’t otherwise see. The slow bloom of a flower is like the slow bloom of the person you are becoming. You are not isolated from the world you move through, you are creating waves with every step.

Keila Elisabeth is an artist based in New York City. Her work explores the quiet sacredness found within our everyday lives. From a moment at a home altar to the deep power that resides in the body, she seeks to bring the subtle to the surface. Using natural and cosmic symbolism in conjunction with figuration, her artworks emanate a soft, dreamlike quality. Her technique of overlaying images blurs the boundaries between inner and outer worlds, bringing the rigid definition of “self” into question.

Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Keila earned her BFA from the University of North Florida in 2025. In addition to her studio practice, she is a passionate educator with over four years of experience. She’s taught classes to a wide range of ages at The Art Garage and led figure drawing workshops at The Museum of Contemporary Art in Jacksonville.
